SPORT
Swimming
Swimming is an integral part of our school's Physical Education programme. We have a 20 m swimming pool which is heated during Term 4 and Term 1. All students are timetabled to swim at least once per week. There is a very big focus on water safety and water confidence in the junior school. We compete regularly and are very successful in the pool.

Cross Country
Our whole school takes part in an annual Cross Country event. We use the Pony Club's rolling paddocks at Glasgow Park to compete. Year 1 to 4 have their events during Term 2 and years 5 to 8 during Term 3. The first 10 students from Years 5-8 go on to compete at the North West competition.

Athletics
Athletics takes place during our summer months. We hold our own annual junior and senior school competition and host a Kaipara Schools cluster competition. We have a number of very talented athletes many of whom go on to represent our cluster and region at the Auckland Championships.

Soccer
Soccer is one of our schools most popular break time activities.
Our school also works closely with professional coaches from West Coast Rangers to provide our students with both football skills and physical development. We also take part in age related tournaments for both boys and girls in Years 5-8.

Rugby
Our school takes part in several Rugby related activities. During the summer months, many students play in a Friday afternoon Touch competition, played in Helensville. In winter months Years 3-6 play in North Harbour organised ‘Rippa’ competitions, while our Year 7-8 students can play in ‘Quick-Rip’ competitions.

Netball
Waimauku Netball Club is affiliated to Kaipara Netball Centre and games are played on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings at Rautawhiri Park In Helensville during the Winter months.
One popular event held at school is the annual Staff v Student netball match (pictured).

Skating
Skating, scootering & roller skating are popular activities on our top court in break times. All students must wear a helmet to join in the fun.
Some of our keen skaters take part in the Young Guns Skate School which happens once a week at lunchtimes.
