From left Eddie Fisher, Eden Greenwood, and Neil MacFaydenOn the 2nd,3rd and 4th of November Neil MacFayden, Eddie Fisher and myself, Eden Greenwood were selected to attend a three day forensics course held at Kristin School.
The camp involved us solving a series of crimes while learning such skills as fingerprint studying, blood analysis, DNA testing and fibre analysis.
We were split up into different detective teams which were given different cases to solve. One example of a case was… A man was murdered in a park at midnight. We then got given his phone records which said he had been sent a message saying, “Meet me in the park at midnight for our usual payment”. But later the man who received the text was found dead. We were then given a sheet of paper that we tested for fingerprints and found that they matched the son of the dead man. Other evidence suggested that the son would have got everything from the father's will and the footprints and the car marks matched the son's as well.
On the last day we invited our parents along and had a dinner. We then showed off the work we had been doing. We all thought it was a great weekend and are very thankful to the school for choosing us.Other Articles:
